The Open Café
Public space that invites people to meet each other
The Coronavirus crisis changed our cities and the way we live. In Tel Aviv, Israel's cultural and economic capital, all restaurants and bars were closed overnight. Locals have started meeting each other outdoors. The bench became the new terrace.
Together with Nadel Roizin Architects, we designed for the city an "Open Café." It's a place where friends meet each other, people work with their laptops, children play, and visitors can observe the passersby on Nordau Boulevard.
